Jenna was a young woman that struggled with depression, which she fought valiantly for most of her adult life. She worked to create awareness and to support others who were afflicted with mental health issues. Unfortunately, late in April of 2018 Jenna lost her battle. She died on April 26th.
We are carrying on Jenna’s legacy by educating people and trying to stop the stigma of mental illness. One in four people are affected by mental illnesses. Suicide has become the 2nd leading cause of death in the world for those aged 15-24. An estimated 16+ million adults in the U.S. battle depression. Mental illnesses are common and nobody should feel ashamed or isolated when facing theirs. This also means that loved ones and family members of those battling with this disease often need support, too. Sometimes, just as much.
Jenna’s Hope is non-profit 501c3 organization that has been established to raise awareness for Suicide Prevention and other mental health illnesses.
